About LEED
LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification system. It provides third-party verification, that a building or community was designed and built using environmentally friendly strategies. LEED projects are aimed at energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality and stewardship of resources.

LEED provides building owners and operators a concise framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions. It was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

LEED Certification
There are both environmental and financial benefits to earning LEED certification. LEED certification provides independent, third-party verification that a building project meets the highest green building and performance protocols. Sustainable building strategies should be considered early in the development cycle. The green plan usually includes the developer/owner, architect, engineer, landscape architect, contractor and property management staff. Implementing an integrated, systems-oriented approach to green project design can yield synergies and improve the overall performance of a building.
